Aug. 31 and Sep. 1   (*Please bring in your own device if possible)

9/11 Essay - 5 paragraphs. You will have both class periods to work on essay (Total of 3 hours, please finish at home if you need more time.)

TO BE HANDWRITTEN ONLY, WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IF TYPED!!!

*You will be sharing one or two paragraphs outloud.

Please follow directions carefully:

Paragraph #1- After researching online and creating a timeline for yourself, tell about the events of that day (9/11) in chronological order.

Paragraph #2- As a result of that day, what things changed in our lives? What laws or acts were put into place?

Paragraph #3- So many people died that we don't even know about. Research one person that passed away as a result of that day and write about them. "In memory of..." (It can be someone you identify with maybe because of their name, birthday, or interests; to help you narrow it down. Shouldn't be the first person you google, so that everyone isn't writing about the same person.)

Paragraph #4- How do you feel about 9/11, what feelings does it evoke?

Paragraph #5- Think of a small service project or just something nice you can so for someone in your neighborhood. Everyone has a bad day from time to time and if we could all just help each other out, you never know who you might make smile. Let's make the world a better place with one kind act at a time:-)
